The Video Game Release List of 8/3 - 8/9

This week proves it's still summer, as the bulk of the list can be summed up with these five subjects: tween idols, little league baseball, monsters, explosions and yoga.

Capcom Blames Piracy for Poor DMC4 PC Sales

Capcom corporate officer Christian Svensson revealed that the PC edition of the company's demon-slaying action title Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, 360) saw poor sales since it debuted early last month, owing in some part to rampant piracy of the game.

"It's not doing as well as I would like in the US at retail," Svensson wrote on Capcom's official blog. "It's such a good version and it really deserves better sales. I know it's getting pirated to hell and back (it was up on torrents literally the day it shipped)."

Sonic Chronicles Trailer Has Explosive Text

Sonic's first foray into the RPG genre serves as a dramatic basis for the latest Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood trailer, coming by way of publisher Sega.

Developed by Mass Effect (PC, 360) creator BioWare exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Sonic Chronicles is set to debut this fall. [video]12650[/video]

Red Faction: Guerilla Multiplayer Media Surfaces

THQ sends along seven screenshots and five movies from Red Faction: Guerilla, showing off the game's multiplayer element.

Now a third person shooter, Red Faction: Guerrilla is in development at Volition for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
